Friends Of Ennis Hospital Group Publishes Review Documenting Patient’s “Terrible” Experience At UHL

Ennis healthcare campaigners are arguing that a review which they claim documents the “terrible” experience of a patient at UHL reaffirms the need for an emergency department in Clare.

The Friends of Ennis Hospital campaign group has conducted a review of the Dooradoyle facility’s ED based on the experience of ‘Patient A’ who spent 82 hours on a trolley there last week.

Data collected during the patient’s stay shows over 70% of those waiting for a bed at the time were over 70 while 40% were from Clare.
