The future role of carers in the community, recent cuts in social welfare supports and some much needed respite are all on the agenda for 78 Clare people who provide family care in their homes this weekend. Clare carers are joining those involved in family care throughout Ireland for the Ennis based Caring for Carers 19th Annual Respite Conference in Galway. Those attending will be raising their issues with government Ministers Eamonn O’Cuiv and Aine Brady who’ll present the long term carers award, while they’ll also be sharing experiences and stories with their peers.
