The recruitment campaign for 300 positions in the Gardaí closes at midnight tonight.
Around 20,000 people have applied for the roles, in the first Garda recruitment campaign since 2009.
Successful applicants will undergo 32 weeks of training at the Garda College in Templemore before 72 weeks of on-the-job learning.
