A woman is in a serious condition in hospital following a knife attack in Ennis
It’s understood the victim, who’s in her early 20’s was stabbed in the head, neck and upper body following an altercation near The Holy Family School on New Road.
She was rushed to Limerick Regional Hospital and underwent emergency surgery.
Shortly after the stabbing a woman in her early teens was arrested by gardai in the Dunnes Stores Shopping Centre.
She’s being held under Section Four of the Criminal Justice Act in connection with the incident.
