Gardaí are investigating whether a stove was the source of a devastating house fire in North Clare claimed the lives of a father and son.
Mossy and Jimmy Quinn died after the blaze swept through their two storey home at Kiltacky More, less than a mile from Boston Village on Saturday morning.
The alarm was raised shortly after seven am that morning when a neighbour noticed flames coming from the home and five units of the fire brigade from Ennis and Gort attended the scene.
Yesterday a forensic team examined the house and in particular a stove which may have been the source of the blaze which is being treated as an accident.
Local councillor Michael Kelly says locals in the area are in shock but that the tight knit community will pull together to offer support to the family
