Gardaí are advising motorists to drive with extreme care on the roads this morning.
Temperatures dropped below freezing overnight leading to dangerous conditions in some parts.
Minor roads, sheltered areas and entrances to housing estates and industrial estates are said to be the worst affected.
While, there’s reports of slippery conditions on roads in and around the Cree and Cooraclare areas.
Temperatures are set to plunge again tonight as the cold snap continues.
It will remain cold again today and there’s a freezing night ahead, with the mercury set to drop as low as minus 3 degrees overnight.
