Gardaí are appealing for video evidence of a serious assault in Ennis, which resulted in a man in his 50s’ being hospitalised.
The incident happened in the town centre around midnight last Thursday.
At around half past twelve last Wednesday night/Thursday morning, a man in his 50’s was approached by three youths on Abbey Street in the county town.
He was assaulted by one of them, with the group subsequently fleeing the scene.
The man was later hospitalised with serious facial injuries.
Gardaí believe one of the youths may have recorded the assault.
They’re appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who has seen the recording of this video on social media or elsewhere to contact them.
