Gardai are warning that lives will be lost if violent feuding between members of the travelling community in Ennis doesn’t end.
3 people are recovering in hospital including a young garda, after several cars were rammed, among them a patrol car, at the Maid of Erin Roundabout last night.
2 people have been charged with public order offences arrising out of the incident and will appear in court at a later date, three others remain in garda custody.
Investigating officers are also linking last night ramming, to a violent row at a traveller wedding outside Ennis Cathedral last Thursday and the subsequent attack on a van at the Mayville Housing Estate that evening.
