Gardaí in Kilrush are investigating a stabbing incident in which five men were injured in the early hours of this morning.
Four people are being treated in hospital following the altercation which took place in a house off Burton Street in Kilrush around 1.30 this morning.
Five men were involved in the row which took place in a house at Place de Plouzane in Kilrush late last night – a serious fight ensued at around half past one this morning and Gardaí say the assailants and victims are known to each other.
Four of the men were rushed to the Mid-Western Regional Hospital in Limerick with various stab wounds and other injuries including a broken arm in the case of one man.
Gardaí say their injuries are not thought to be life threatening – It’s understood a fifth man left the scene.
