Gormely in Ennis to survey flood damage.

The Environment Minister John Gormely has visited Ennis now to survey the damage caused by the recent flooding in the town.

106 people, have been evacuated so far due to the rising floodwaters which has closed a number of roads right across County Clare

The HSE are to set up a counselling Service for evacuees at the West County Hotel later this afternoon and those affected can contact the emergency number at 1890-252-943

Minister of State at the Office of Public Works Martin Manseragh is also in the county this afternoon surveying the damage caused by the overflow and told praised the work of the emergency response teams
