Gort Gardai are warning smart phone users to be careful following a number of recent thefts in the area.
The public are being urged to be more aware of their mobile phones after gardai received several reports of phone sbeing stolen in restauraunts and supermarkets.
The warning comes as Gardai launched a new leaflet campaign urging users to note their IMEI number which can be used to deactivate it remotely and keep their personal data safe.
The Public are also being asked not to store personel information on their phones and ensure their phone is password protected.
