Government Insists Tax Figures Show Positive Signs

The government insists the country is getting back on its feet again.

It’s after exchequer figures released yesterday showed a higher-than-expected tax take have helped to reduce the country’s deficit to 14.9-billion euro.

That’s a reduction of about 10 billion euro on last year.

Junior Finance Minister, Brian Hayes, has echoed the sentiments of others who’ve termed the Irish economy the come-back kid.
