A former Clare VFI Chair is warning that another u-turn by Government on the opening of pubs would be the final nail in the coffin for many businesses.

Cabinet Ministers yesterday approved the re-opening of pubs on September 21st, though a number of restrictions will be in place.

Customers will have to leave contact details when entering the premises and will have to remain seated in the pub.

Former Clare VFI Chair and Ennis Publican, Charlie O’Meara says it’s a welcome move but he believes another false start will be a bridge too far for many pubs.
