A prominent South East Clare primary school is set to benefit from a new state of-the-art extension.
It comes as the Department of Education has given the green light for the expansion of St.Aidan’s National School in Shannon.

The works will involve the construction of two new mainstream classrooms, two new special educational needs classrooms and a new special education teaching room.
Plans for the construction of a new car park and extension of special education needs classrooms at St.Aidan’s in Shannon went out to tender last December, with an estimated works value of €2.25 million.
