A Clare Government Senator is calling for a State review of the Shannondoc out-of-hours GP service to be fast tracked.
A number of facilities in this county, including the Shannon clinic, ceased operations during the pandemic, with Miltown Malbay’s branch now the only one operating in West Clare.

It’s understood the Department of Health is making preparations to undertake a full review of the system in Clare and beyond.
Speaking in the Seanad, Ennistymon-based Fine Gael Senator Martin Conway says the timeline for that process now needs to be made clear.
