It seems that hopes are high throughout Clare for a return of good weather, as many people here say they are still unable to afford a break away.

38% of the 672 people who have taken part in a poll on the clare.fm website say they would love to go on holidays this summer, but simply don't have the finances to do so.
Of those who are taking a break, most will be on the move as a third of all respondents said they will travel abroad, while just one in five will holiday in Ireland.
Another 9 per cent say they're happy to stay at home.
