The HSE admits it's concerned about its ability to recruit a permanent doctor for the Feakle area.
The area has been without a locally-based GP since the resignation of the previous doctor, and the vacancy didn't attract any interest when first advertised.
One specially-equipped building there is being offered on an initial rent-free basis, but a senior HSE official has told Clare FM they still may struggle to find someone to take it.
