The HSE has confirmed that a second 96-bed block at the region’s main hospital has received board approval.

Construction is currently underway at University Hospital Limerick on the first of two planned 96-bed blocks which will be located on top of the existing Emergency Department and Dialysis Unit and will increase the Dooradoyle facility’s overall capacity by 48 in real terms when it’s completed in 2024.
