HSE And Nurses Continue Talks To Avert Industrial Action

Talks aimed at averting a work to rule by 30,000 nurses are due to resume this morning. 

It’s after negotiations at the Workplace Relations Commission failed to reach agreement yesterday.

The long running dispute between the HSE and unions is over nurses’ pay and conditions – and centres on problems around staff retention.

If they fail to make progress today it’s expected the industrial action will begin on Tuesday.
