Clare farms could shut-down next month as part of a major Day of Action to highlight shrinking family incomes in the sector.

The Irish Farmers Association is asking its members here and across the country not to let produce leave their farms on Tuesday the 9th of October – while a mass protest is also being organised for Dublin.
It’s holding the “Day of Action” to highlight what it says is the escalating cost/price squeeze on farm incomes, and the need to send a clear message to the Government to defend CAP and retain funding for income-related farm schemes.
