Its hoped a 23 per cent increase in the number of visitors to Clare's iconic lighthouse will provide a welcome boost to the entire community.
23,000 tourists visited the landmark, which began its fifth year of operations when it reopened to the public in early April.
Irish people accounted for over 47 per cent of visitors, while the remaining 42 per cent came from Germany, North America, UK, France and Italy.
