Ireland rank 10th in UNICEF child welbeing report

UNICEF has ranked Ireland  in the top ten when it comes to the well being of children here.

The report among 29 OECD countries also shows that Ireland has the highest rate of children exercising, with almost one in three children exercising for a least an hour a day.

The Netherlands, Norway, and Iceland are top of the list while bottom of the table are Latvia, Lithuania and Romania.

The report also warns that childhood must be protected during the economic downturn.
