The Italian Ambassador to Ireland is making a formal visit to Kilrush today.
His excellency Maurizio Zanini will be accompanied by his wife, Patricia Dubois Zanini who has ancestral links to the West Clare town – she has already paid a visit to the town earlier this year to investigate those roots.
Mr. and Mrs. Zanini will be honoured with a reception at the Vandeleur Walled Gardens, beginning at 1:30.
