Banking services in parts of West Clare will be seriously curtailed from today as AIB closes its doors in Kildysart and Kilkee.
They among 45 sub-offices being closed by the financial institution this month, a further six sites are being amalgamated while 16 other branches will shut in 2013.
Services at Kildysart and Kilkee will transfer to Ennis and Kilrush respectively while a mobile bank will be provided to both areas for a limited numbers of hours each week.
