Kilrush has been named the best town in Co Clare in a new survey carried out by Retail Excellence Ireland.
The West Clare town was named number 39th in a list of the country’s top 100 urban centres while Clare’s county capital Ennis was named in 61st place.
The results were released after a survey of 16,000 citizens and stakeholders in over 100 towns and cities in the country.
Westport in Co. Mayo has been named the Best Town in Ireland – while Kilkenny has been named the best city.
