Kilrush’s Murt Collins Remembered Following “Iconic” Character’s Passing

Clare’s is said to have lost an “iconic” figure with the passing of a stalwart of traditional Irish music.

Legendary Kilrush musician, storyteller and community man Murt Collins will be laid to rest tomorrow, having passed away on Friday at the age of 83.

The Kerry native was an active member of Kilrush Tidy Towns and was honoured with the Community Hero gong at the 2019 Supervalu Tidy Towns Awards.
