Lahinch GP Says Childhood Vaccines Should Take Priority Over Covid Jab

A North Clare GP says childhood vaccines should take priority over vaccination against Covid-19.

From today, the HSE will be providing Covid-19 jabs to children aged six months to four years.

The Pfizer vaccine will only be administered in vaccine centres and won’t be available through GP clinics or local pharmacies.

 

Lahinch GP, Dr. Michael Kelleher says while the recommended childhood immunisations should take precedence, that the newly available Covid vaccine is safe and effective for young kids.
