Lloyds under fire over Shannon redundancies

Lloyds banking group have been criticised for axing 80 jobs in Shannon on the same day it was reported that it’s chief executive is set to receive a seven figure bonus.

It’s claimed the group’s CEO Daniel Jacobs is to be paid 1.4 million pounds upon his retirement next month.

However, 80 employees at St. Andrew’s Group in Shannon, a subsidiary of Lloyds Banking Group, are facing the dole queues after they were told yesterday that they are to lost their jobs.
