Disability services across the county are appealing for new Clare families to open their doors for a day or weekend this year.
The Home Share Short Breaks initiative enables children and adults with disabilities to enjoy breaks away from their normal environment, while also affording families respite from continually caring.

The community based service has been operating in the Banner county through the Brothers of Charity foundation since 2006 and currently has 48 participating host families.
Barefield Councillor Ann Norton, whose daughter Nicole currently avails of the programme, says it’s a fantastic opportunity for families to build life lasting bonds.
