“Long Overdue” Burren Traffic Management Plan Tipped To Resolve Region’s Congestion

A traffic management plan in the Burren described as “long overdue” has been tipped to resolve the region’s congestion issues once and for all.

Clare County Council is leading a multi-agency initiative aimed at easing traffic congestion on the R477 coastal road in North Clare.

As part of the trial initiative, coach operators and camper van drivers are encouraged to use a clockwise traffic system running from south to north between Ballinalacken Junction and Ballyvaughan for the remainder of this tourist season.
