The M18 motorway has now fully re-opened to traffic.
Drivers are again able to travel from Crusheen to Gort this morning, after the road re-opened ahead of schedule following the completion of works associated with the new motorway extension to Tuam.
Meanwhile, another section of the route is to close to traffic tonight, though just for a short period of time.
From midnight, both sides of the motorway will close between Junction 14 for Barefield and Junction 13 for the Tulla Road and East Clare.
The road is due to remain closed until 6:00, and another overnight closure will occur in the early hours of Wednesday October 11th.
