A stretch of a busy main street in Clarecastle traversed to access the Old Limerick Road, Clare Vehicle Testing Centre and Lissane Business Park will be closed this week to facilitate works.
Clare County Council has decided to temporarily close the L-4174 on Patrick Street to enable new water and sewerage connections to the network.
Traffic coming from Main Street Clarecastle will be diverted northbound on the R458, before turning left onto Kildysart Road and continuing onto the junction at Kildysart Grotto to turn left again for the L-4174, while traffic leaving Clarecastle will follow the same diversion in the opposite direction.

The closure will remain in place until 6pm on Friday.
