A man arrested in connection with a fatal road crash in North Clare has been released without charge.
A woman in her thirties lost her life in the collision in Lahinch last evening.
Emergency services were alerted at around twenty to 7 last evening following a single vehicle collision at Lahinch.
A female passenger of the car involved, aged in her 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
There are no reports of any other serious injuries.
A man in his 30s was arrested at the scene and detained at Ennis Garda Station for questioning.
He’s since been released without charge and a file is being prepared for the DPP.
The road has been closed to facilitate a technical examination by Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the collision to come forward.
In particular, they’re seeking camera footage, including dash-cam footage, to be made available to investigating Gardaí.
