Two Gardai have been treated in hospital following an assault on the north side of Cork city last night.
The two officers, based at Gurranabraher Garda Station, were responding to a domestic incident in Blarney Street at 8.15pm when they were attacked by a man in his 30s.
One of the officers suffered head and neck injuries and the other suffered injuries to his hand.
A man was arrested and is due before Cork District Court this morning charged in connection with the incident.
