An Ennis man remains in a critical condition in hospital following Thursday evening’s altercation in the Hermitage area.
The 52 year old – a married father who resides in Hermitage – suffered serious head injuries after falling to the ground during an alleged row with a number of other males outside his home.
Gardai in Ennis are continuing their inquiries into the incident.
