Three US Presidents will come together today to remember one of the most famous speeches ever made.

It’s 50 years since Martin Luther King uttered the historic words ‘I have a dream’ to a crowd of hundreds of thousands in Washington.

This afternoon Barack Obama, Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter will honour Dr. King’s call to "Let freedom ring", by ringing symbolic bells on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial – the same spot the speech was originally made in 1963.

Here at home, the day is being marked by the Immigrant Council of Ireland who’re using the anniversary to highlight the continuing struggle to stamp out racism.
