Two men are due before a special sitting of Cavan District Court charged in connection with the death of Ciaran O’Connell.
The 22 year old died after being assaulted in the early hours of the morning on the 18th of March.
The young man had been attending a St.Patrick’s Day party in a house in Mullagh in Cavan.
Gardai launched a murder investigation following his death in Beaumont Hospital on Wednesday.
The men – both in their 20’s – were arrested at their homes in Kells and Mullagh early yesterday morning.
They will appear before the courts this afternoon.
