Michael McNamara has been selected to represent the Labour Party in Clare in the upcoming general election.
The Scarriff-based TD was the sole candidate going forward for nomination at the party's selection convention at the West County Hotel in Ennis last night.
At the convention, which was chaired by Minister for Education Jan O'Sullivan, Michael was unopposed in his nomination and was put forward as the party's candidate for the banner county.
