Mid West Simon is advising Clare renters to hang on to their tenancies by their fingernails if necessary.
The Simon Community’s most recently published “Locked Out Of The Market” report has revealed there are just 27 properties nationwide available within the limits of the Housing Assistance Payment with 16 of these in Dublin.

Meanwhile, an analysis of Daft.ie shows there are just 31 properties to rent in Clare with the cheapest being a house in Shannon for €750 per month.
Mid West Simon CEO Jackie Bonfield says that due to the scarcity of properties on the market, renters are forced to settle for any available tenancy.
