MidWest Group Urges Public To Recognise Plight Of Clare Asylum Seekers On World Refugee Day

A MidWest Migrants Rights Group is urging the public to recognise the perilous journeys facing Asylum Seekers rather than discontent with government policy on this World Refugee Day.

At present there are over 6,400 Asylum Seekers in Clare, comprising 5,581 Ukrainians and 938 International Protection Applicants.

It comes as a Dáil vote on opting into the EU Migration Pact has been deferred until next week to allow for greater debate.
