Minister wins Confidence Vote

The Junior Health Minister Roisin Shortall has voted confidence in Minister James Reilly – though she didn’t state her confidence in him in a Dáil speech last night.

Instead Ms Shortall highlighted a number of failings in the health service and suggested if reforms weren’t delivered, cuts to services would be.

Minister Reilly secured the confidence of the Dáil by 99 votes to 50.
