Gardaí are investigating a fatal crash near Nenagh in which a young Clareman was killed and his brother injured.
The single vehicle collision happened at Traverston, Dolla at around 4 o’clock yesterday afternoon when the van they were travelling in crashed into a ditch.
One of two a 25 year old from Mountshannon died while his older brother was taken to Nenagh General Hospital for treatment but his condition isn’t believed to be life threatening.
The scene of the crash was closed for a number of hours and Nenagh Garda Station are appealing to anyone with information on the incident to contact them.
Locals in Mountshannon have been left deeply shocked by the tragedy and local councillor Fine Gael’s Pat Burke says their thoughts and prayers are with the family of the two brothers
