The new Doolin Pier has won a prestigious national award.

The Pier has been honoured by the Irish Concrete Society Award as a top Infrastructural Projects delivered during 2015.
The award was presented to Clare County Council, contractor L&M Keating and other companies who worked on the six million euro project.
The new pier was officially opened in June 2015 in the North Clare coastal village where 70,000 to 90,000 passengers are carried to and from the Aran Islands each year.
