The new Mayor of Clare says delays in publishing the details of local government reform will add to challenges faced by the County Council.
Sixmilebridge Fine Gael Councillor John Crowe was elected to the post on Friday evening, with Killaloe Councillor Tony O'Brien of Fianna Fáil the Deputy Mayor.
Councillor Crowe says the new smaller Council poses a challenge in itself, and he feels this could get worse when expected laws are passed.
