A small-scale pilot scheme for electric vehicle charging points will be rolled out in Ennis by the end of the year.
The council has confirmed plans for the installation of on street chargers in the county town, subject to funding being made available.

The chargers will be marketed as a short-medium term charging point where electric vehicle users can stop to top up their charge.
Fianna Fáil Councillor and Mayor of Ennis, Clare Colleran Molloy says this is the first step towards a more sustainable future.
