A South-East Clare parent fears new plans to overhaul school transport will cause a road traffic incident.

From August, students from Cratloe, Sixmilebridge and Newmarket-On-Fergus will be integrated on the public 343 Ennis to Shannon route for school journeys.

Roughly 110 students in Newmarket will be availing on the service, which will be without adult supervison.

Newmarket-on-Fergus Parent’s Representative, Bree-Anne Guinane claims that due to the size of some of the bus shelters proposed, students will be left stranded in poor weather conditions.
