Bus Éireann has confirmed its Shannon Airport to Limerick bus service will not be running today following industrial action.

The strike, which has been described by Bus Éireann as “unofficial industrial action taken by a small number of our employees”, affects all services operating in Limerick.

As a result, its Cork to Galway service, which includes stops at Bunratty, Shannon, Shannon Airport, Clarecastle, Ennis and Crusheen, will be out of service until further notice.

The public transport provider has apologised for any inconvenience caused and has advised customers to make alternative travel arrangements.
