Members of the public are today being invited to inspect and give their views on plans for the new Northern Distributor Road for Limerick City.
The route is set to run from Coonagh, connecting Parteen and Ardnacrusha, then crossing the River Shannon to the North of UL before linking up with the old Limerick/Dublin Road.
Some residents in Parteen are concerned about the implications of the road however, saying that the current plan would divide the community there in two.
Maps will go on display at the Radisson Hotel in Limerick from 3:00-8:00 this afternoon, and Senior Engineer with Clare County Council Tom Tiernan is confident it will be an asset to the Mid West
