Its claimed a health supplement taken by millions to help lower cholesterol and for other health benefits may increase the risk of aggressive prostate cancer.

Scientists in the US say Omega-3 fatty acids – derived from fish oils – were found to increase the risk of high-grade disease by 71 percent.

The oils – up until this study – have been hailed as containing a host of health benefits.
