Gardai are appealing for witnesses after a man in his 30s was killed in a road accident in Clooney last night.
The incident happened about three miles outside Ennis, on the road to Tulla which has now reopened following a forensic examination.
Shortly before 8 o’clock last night 2 men were travelling in a car when it crashed near Clooney Church.
No other vehicle was involved in the incident.
Both men were taken to the Mid-Western Regional Hospital in Limerick.
A 30 year old man later died from his injuries, while the 2nd man aged 23, remains in a critical condition this morning.
Gardai at Ennis are appealing for witnesses.
